👋🏽 Hola, I’m Coach Julio Salado—an award-winning personal trainer, educator, author, and proud first-generation Dominican. For over two decades, I’ve used fitness as a tool to build bridges and empower communities. I founded Fitness Foundry to make wellness accessible to everyone, blending Western exercise science, Eastern holistic arts, and lived experience.

My method is rooted in diligence, consistency, and cultural humility. At the core is The A.I.M. MethodAssess, Initiate, Motivate—a science-based framework designed to help you build self-efficacy and sustainable progress. Whether you’re starting fresh or leveling up, I’ll help you get there—with evidence-based strategies, not gimmicks.

I am a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Recognized Personal Trainer with Distinction, and hold certification from USA Weightlifting (USAW), and USA Powerlifting (USAPL), among others. I bring over 20 years of experience across disciplines including TRX, Olympic lifts, kettlebells, Tai Chi, and senior fitness. I’m also a licensed EMT-B and continuing education provider. I’ve authored three books, each of which has been developed into a CE-accredited course for fitness professionals and educators. Additionally, I hold a **real estate salesperson license**, reflecting my broader commitment to community access, housing stability, and holistic wellness.

But my mission goes beyond the gym. I bring wellness into schools and workplaces, combining movement with mental health, mentorship, and team-building to foster resilience. I also lead preventive care events—like stroke awareness and CPR education—in underrepresented communities.

My advocacy is personal. I live with clinical depression and share this openly to help end stigma. I’ve experienced homelessness and food insecurity, which fuels my commitment to humanitarian work—from preparing meals at a women’s shelter in Boston to delivering aid in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I also serve as a poll worker, because I believe civic engagement is a vital part of public health and community care. I believe that volunteerism is patriotism—a way to honor our shared humanity through action.
